The club is proudly named after the starting mile marker of the majestic Blue Ridge Parkway, which is right in our backyard. We are pleased to offer local and visiting cyclists of all levels the opportunity to meet and ride with other cyclists. For a little road, cross or mountain biking, and a lot of camaraderie, we hope you will join us!!!

MILEPOST ZERO BICYCLE CLUB IS PROUD TO HAVE CONDUCTED:
The Culver-Solomon Memorial Tour de Valley Century
We held our 2010 ride on September 5th, 2010 to honor two members of our club who have been great friends to all of us, inspiring riders, and hard workers on our annual Tour de Valley Century. Russell Culver was our past president (3 years in a row!) and Mike Solomon has handled our rest stop food and gatorade for many years. Both of these men started with our very first Century in 1989 and both were "charter members" of Milepost Zero Bicycle Club.

Milepost Zero Bicycle Club is sad to announce that long-time member Steve Bantz passed away this past weekend (May 5th, 6th) in a terrible accident at his Richmond home. At this point it appears that he fell down the basement stairs. His wife Jeanmarie became concerned when she couldn't reach him all day Saturday from their Afton home. Steve was an incredibly intelligent and pleasant guy who made us all enjoy riding with him. He will be sorely missed by his many friends in MPZ. A celebration of Steve's life will be scheduled sometime soon. Our thoughs and prayers go out to Jeanmarie and the rest of Steve's Family.
