Folks, for the first time ever, we had a photographer lined up to take pictures during our 2008 Tour. WOW! who would have expected the lovely 75 year old Elizabeth Petofi to take over 1500 photographs. And then she figured out how to post them on the INTERNET to make them available to us for purchase! After a brief panic where she RAISED the prices because orders hadn't started coming in, the prices are now nice and LOW again and there are more options then ever for you to choose from. You can buy everything from small prints to T-shirts & coasters. You can even pay to download the whole high resolution original file to print or display yourself.
I ordered two 4x6 prints and 2 refrigerator magnets to check out the quality, and WOW, they look super. This winter when you wish you were out on your bicycle instead of stuck on your trainer (or admit it, stuck in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn), you'll absolutely LOVE going to the refrigerator for that next drink and seeing yourself smiling on your bicycle during our event! (I'll have to look at myself on the motorcycle or some of your pictures I've ordered since I didn't get to ride my bicycle in this year's event).
I would like to personally encourage you to take the time to look through the pictures (and it will take some time! Each picture on the first page that comes up links to an entire gallery of pictures. When you click on one of the individual pictures, the price sheet comes up and you can start adding items to your shopping cart!
I personally encourage you to consider purchasing some for a number of reasons:
1. The quality is excellent and you'll really enjoy having them, go ahead and spoil yourself (or order a friend's picture for them!)
2. Frankly, Elizabeth could really use the little bit of profit she'll make from each order at these low prices.
3. We'd like to be sure it is worth Elizabeth's time to come take pictures next year. This was her first attempt at photographing an
event like ours, and she will surely get better at the internet portion next year (hard to imagine how she could improve on the
actual photography!)
P.S. for any of you who would like a special direct price for the original full-size electronic file (3 to 4 Megs apiece!), you can email Elizabeth directly by clicking on the envelope below. Let her know which pictures you want, then she'll send you her mailing address. You will need to make arrangements to send her a check and then have her email you the files. Her direct price will be $5.00 per file or 5 for $15.00 so there will be some savings for multiple images.
